Corrections Policy
How to request a correction and how Alsett corrects and labels errors.
Alsett aims to get every fact right. When we don't, we fix it quickly and say so.
How to report an error
Email [NEEDS USER INPUT: corrections@alsett.com or editor@alsett.com] with:
- the link to the article or listing,
- what is wrong, and
- a source for the correct information, where possible.
We review every request, normally within [NEEDS USER INPUT: e.g. two business days].
How we correct
- Factual errors in articles (wrong names, titles, dates, figures, venues) are corrected in the text, with a dated note at the end of the article, for example: "Correction, [date]: An earlier version of this article misstated the show's dates. The event runs March 3–5."
- Significant errors that change the meaning of a story get a correction note at the top of the article.
- Minor fixes to spelling, grammar, or formatting that don't change meaning are made without a note.
- Event calendar and directory listings are updated as soon as organizers confirm changes such as new dates, venue changes, postponements, or cancellations. Cancelled or postponed events are marked as such and are not removed silently.
Updates and removals
- When a story develops, we add a dated update rather than rewriting the record.
- We do not remove published articles because a subject asks us to, except for legal reasons, safety concerns, or a serious error that cannot be fixed by correction. Any removal is noted.
Organizers and exhibitors
